With over 14 year’s experience, most of it in the financial services sector, Mongezi has gained valuable insight into the working of business systems- from initiation to termination.
Mongezi believes that organisations grow because individuals within organisations grow. Organisations learn & change because individuals learn to change. His coaching & consulting approach is designed to create a space for leaders and talent to learn and grow in a safe, non-judgemental but challenging space. Key to this approach is creating awareness of systemic relationships as well as conscious and unconscious processes that influence the journey from good to great.
The last 7 years of his corporate career have been in the Human Capital Management arena, culminating as Head of Talent Management and Development for the Absa group. This places him in an ideal position to coach in areas of career & leadership.
Mongezi is CEO for The Entrepreneurship Academy of Southern Africa and sits on several boards and is chairman of the board for the South African National Youth Orchestra foundation.
Mongezi’s current focus is on implementing organisational change management solutions through individual change & learning, with coaching as an underpinning. This forms the life work for his Ph.D in Organizational Behaviour for which he is currently enrolled with the Commonwealth University in the UK.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of South Afric; an MBA, from North West University and an MA in Professional Coaching from the University of Middlesex in the UK.
