Christa Swart has been involved in change and transformation for over fifteen years and is regarded as a specialist in this field.
Leadership development is Christa’s passion. Working with the evolving role of leaders in the new world of work, is her forte. As the new world of work becomes increasingly complex (i.e. levels of work / chaos theory) a landscape vastly different from a decade or two ago emerges. Weave into that the levels of performance, authenticity, integrity, wisdom and courage required for success and one starts to get a picture of why leadership (in its broadest context) is the most researched, intriguing topic on any top company’s strategic agenda.
Christa has participated in various transformation initiatives, including one of the most significant in the financial industry in this country. Working across the full spectrum of the financial sector; including corporate, investment and business banking as well as in the industrial and legal sectors, she coaches senior and executive management.
Her key focus with clients is taking up leadership roles within their given context. She works with executives to discover how this is done and what it takes. These changes include shifts in behaviour, as well as heightened awareness of thinking patterns and their impact on behaviour. As Christa says, “With this awareness, one can start changing. Awareness creates choice, without awareness there is no choice… Awareness is the first step towards personal, leadership and EQ development.”
Christa holds a B.Com Honours in Economics and an M.Com in Industrial Psychology. She is currently busy with her Doctorate in Executive Coaching through the Middlesex University in the UK. She is a registered Industrial Psychologist.
